Today, country is celebrating 64th independence day. 64 yrs, a long time in calender but how much diff these 64 yrs have brought..
question is, did we really get azadi 64 yrs back and if we got, do we have right to celebrate it..??
I think, 64 yrs back we did not get azadi, we have just won a political war against British rule. we were neither azad then nor now.
Even that time people were not azad to disallow the partition. even at that time they were not azad to live in their home..their motherland.. Hindus and
WHAT ACTUALLY WAS THE MEANING OF
WHY AZADI WAS SO NECESSARY FOR SO MANY PPL THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO GIVE THEIR LIFE FOR AZADI.
was it not for our pride and honor..?
was it not a fight for our basic needs.? and if it was so then, are we really azad now..??
Shall we feel proud on and days after 26/11..? When we were looking at
Or Shall we feel honored on the amount of corruption in CWG.
Or Shall we feel proud on this system in which in-numerous people dying coz of hunger every year, and on the other hand tonnes and tonnes of grains are getting rotten and wasted..??
Or shall we feel proud on bomb blasts at delhi/jaipur/mumbai/bangalore..etc..etc...??
Are we AZAD to go around in our city fearlessly..??
kya aaj azaadi ka matlab sirf..ek chhutti ka din.., patriotic movies at TV channels..reh
COULD WE DO JUSTICE WITH THE MARTYRDOM OF AZAD AND BHAGAT SINGH..?

If we could not then, do we have right to celebrate the independence day..?
KYA HUM SACH MAIN KABHI AZAD HAIN OR THEY..?? If not then, what is the meaning of celebrating independence day..??

with due respect I'll say I don't agree with you.This post is sort of collection of banal statement.No offense but through course of my life I have came across numerous and countless instances on which WE PEOPLE have made these statements, on quite a few occasion when the patriot within them rises from a deep sleep, yawns for a moment and then vaporizes in thin air. I'll ask a few questions from you. I don't want the answers from you. you just answer to yourself and if you find that you have played your part, definitely I'll support your cause.
1. Have you ever fed a poor child?(This does not includes giving him a coin.{i don't encourage beggars}).I mean food.
2.Have you ever used rule 49-0{ vote to none}.
3.Tried to file PIL for anything which, you feel should be challenged in court of law?
4.Used RTI to find anything which may be useful for the society?

If you are concerned on the freedom , y don't u initiate a movement then... Its very easy to say this but tough to do it... I have seen several thoughts like this in the past , but someone needs to act rather than blogging.... No offence pls...

Dear, you should support something if you accept it, it should be unconcerned to other's role.. today a big problem is that people are not doing their duty because their neighbour is not doing..They break the rule coz the person standing next to them is breaking...this cycle should be stopped.. your difference or preference should be with the idea (not with the person who originated that) and so, it should be immaterial to his role. if u agree with my idea, not with me then take the idea and lead...
Anyways, i still feel that a few people who has read this, could not understand my message..
It was not against the independency of India...It was against the celebration without respecting the independence..
i was for giving more values to whatever we got from our martyrs..
not by celebrating as a holiday, but by paying your tax properly..by abiding your constitution,which we got after several big sacrifices.. by doing your duty to nation properly..by voting a right candidate (not on the basis of caste, religion or your personal benefits but on the basis of their right candidature.)
I am sure we can give better tribute to our martyrs..we can celebrate our independence better by giving more respect to whatever we got..By giving more respect to the rights we got from our constitutions..by not misusing our freedom.
Yes, I agree that political and social reform is required but more than that is personal reform.
It will give right direction to political and social activities.

Movement is not required against anybody..it is required within yourself..
Do not leave yourself corrupt just because sab chalta hai as your neighbour is also doing the same for so long time.
I AM HAPPY THAT SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE MET WITH COUNTLESS PEOPLE WHO HAVE COME UP WITH THESE KINDA THOUGHTS OCCASIONALLY..(and they themself may not b acting good). but IT GIVES MORE EMPOWERMENT TO MY THOUGHT THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT ONE DAY..VERY SOON..
